Starting in May, Public Works begins annual road surface treatments.
A chip seal treatment is applied to roads to help seal the surface and prevent moisture from damaging the road.
Each area will take one to three days to complete.
Our chip seal program is typically completed between mid-August and late September, weather permitting.
Road crews will post loose gravel and fresh oil signs in areas receiving chip seal treatments.
We appreciate drivers reducing speed through these work zones. We will not close any roads, but there may be temporary delays to motorists. We apologize for any inconvenience.
If you have any questions, please call our office at (360) 397-2446, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
