Current trends show large increases in wholesale and retail trade and service sectors in Clark County. Wholesale and retail trade increased 50.5 percent from 1990 to 2001, while services increased by 81.7 percent. Employment in the manufacturing sector also increased by 6.4 percent in the same period.
The ports of Vancouver, Camas-Washougal, and Ridgefield provide numerous services in their industrial parks and have experienced continual industrial growth. Also, a number of business and industrial parks are situated around the county, with concentrations in east Clark County and along the I-5/I-205, Fourth Plain, and Mill Plain corridors.
