Publicly Funded Chemical Dependency Treatment Services
To obtain chemical dependency treatment services for eligible low-income/indigent individuals, please follow these instructions:
If you do not have Medicaid benefits/medical coupons:
If you do not currently have Medicaid benefits, you may be eligible for medical benefits that will cover the cost of alcohol and drug treatment and related services. Call or visit the Columbia River CSO to find out how to apply for Medicaid benefits (see instructions below) or complete an application online. You will receive an appointment letter in the mail soon after you submit your online application.
- Call or visit a DSHS Community Service Office. Locate a Community Service Office near you.
- Report that you have an alcohol and/or drug problem and that you need help. Ask for a referral for a chemical dependency assessment.
- You will be required to fill out paper work and submit it for a financial eligibility determination.
Even if you are not eligible for Medicaid benefits/medical coupons, you may be able to receive services on a sliding scale basis. You will be responsible for the cost of services based on your income. Contact any of the following agencies for an assessment:
