Tips on talking to us
Much of your successful participation in county government will come as a result of your communicating directly with us. Providing comments at public hearings and at meetings is a key way to participate. Letters are another important tool; they are officially noted and logged and can give you a specific frame of reference for later use on an issue.
Less formal communication can also be productive. Sometimes stopping by a county office and having an informal conversation or just calling the person you need to communicate with is enough. In any case, a little advance preparation is always a good idea.
