Our Building Safety Division helps keep our homes, schools, offices, stores and other buildings safe for public use. We review and inspect all construction projects that require building permits in the unincorporated areas of Clark County and the town of Yacolt. These projects range from small-scale residential remodels to large, multi-story commercial buildings and apartments.
- Our plans examiners review your building plans to make sure they comply with the Clark County building codes. By following code guidelines, your project will meet the required safety standards and will be less likely to cause injury to you, your family and friends.
- Our building inspectors ensure that each project is built according to the approved plans. They make sure your construction project is built right, will be safe and will last.
- If you need assistance with your construction project, we can help by providing valuable information on permits, building codes and safe construction practices.
- There are several external resources you can use in the construction or your project.
Building permits are very beneficial to you and your community. By obtaining the required permits you are not only protecting your financial investment in your project, but you are also guarding against potential hazards of unsafe construction.
