Nuisance

Nuisance violations include junk and debris scattered in the yard, inoperable vehicles for over 30 days, and tall grass and weeds in the front and side yard in the urban areas.

The nuisance ordinance differs between the urban and rural zoned properties.

On property with a rural zoning classification:

  • Outside accumulation in the front and side yard of two or more cubic yards of waste, rubbish and trash, which is visible from adjacent property or roadways.
  • The presence of any unattached vehicle or boats parts, or three or more abandoned or inoperable vehicles and/or boats that have remained in the same location or on the same contiguously owned property for more then thirty days, that are within the front, side or rear yard and are visible from an adjacent property or roadway.

On property with a urban zoning classification:

  • Outside accumulation of more than one cubic yard of waste, rubbish and trash, which is visible from an adjacent property or roadway.
  • The presence of any unattached vehicle or boats parts, or inoperable vehicle or boat that has remained in the same location within the front, side or rear yard and are visible from an adjacent property or roadway for more than thirty days.
