Community service shines at State of the County 2012
Guests help stock local food banks, “Spirit” awards honor volunteers.
Hundreds of people turned out for the annual State of the County event Thursday, Feb. 2, bringing loads of food and other donations to help neighbors in a county with exceptionally high unemployment. “I believe we do have the wisdom in our county to bring us out of these tough times and be better in the end,” said Marc Boldt, chair of the Board of County Commissioners.
