This three-story Queen-Anne house is prominently built on the southwestern knoll flanked by two large Maple trees at the end of a long private driveway. The front of the house features twin, two-story projecting bays, with another story rising between them. Each gable is ornamented with decorative woodwork and sunset design, siding. Adding to the decorative character of the exterior are pendants over the corner angle windows, and a wide course of fish-scale shingles separating the first and second stories.

The first and second story porches with their ornate spindle work, the chair and picture rails, wainscoting, doors, windows, hardware and original wood trim are currently being restored.

Francis G. Lawton cleared the land and built the house in 1900. The farm was later used as a dairy and as cropland.

  • Listed on the Clark County Heritage Register in 2003.
