Last chance for qualified citizens to register for the November 6 General Election
Vancouver, WA – The last chance for qualifying Clark County residents to register to vote for the November 6, 2012 General Election is Monday, October 29! If you qualify, you must register in person at the Elections office, 1408 Franklin Street, Vancouver, at the corner of Mill Plain Blvd. and Franklin Street.
The County Elections Department will be open on Saturday, October 27 from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM to provide in person registration service to qualifying voters.
You may still register to vote in Clark County, WA for the November 6, 2012 General election if you:
Are not registered anywhere else in Washington
Will be at least age 18 by November 6, 2012
Were living in Clark County as of October 6, 2012
Are a United States citizen AND
Have not lost your voting rights due to a felony conviction or court action
All voter registration for the November election will end Monday October 29 at 5 PM. Citizens are urged not to wait until Monday October 29, because you may face long lines. If you are registered in another county in Washington, you will need to contact the elections office in that county to ask for a ballot to be sent to your current address.
Ballots for residents who are already registered were mailed out October 15. A voted ballot may be returned in person or by mail. If a voted ballot is returned by mail, it must be postmarked November 6 or earlier. If returning a ballot in person, see our website or the voters’ pamphlet for a list of ballot deposit locations. Thirty-three ballot deposit locations will be available on Nov. 6 from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Ballots returned in person after 8:00 PM will not be valid.
