The Victim Assistance Unit provides vital support and services to victims of crime in Clark County. The Unit is comprised of two full-time victim advocates who work cooperatively with prosecutors, law enforcement, mental health providers and other agencies in order to lessen the trauma experienced by victims of crime.

The program provides assistance in applying for Crime Victim’s Compensation and determining criminal restitution in adult and juvenile felony cases. Advocates are available to help navigate victims through the criminal justice system and work to ensure that all crime victims are treated in accordance with Washington State Constitution and the Crime Victims’ Bill of Rights.

The Victim Assistance Unit strives to connect victims with available resources within the community while providing ongoing care and empathy for those victims involved in the criminal justice system.
