The Clark Communities Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee is involved in bicycle and pedestrian issues for all jurisdictions in Clark County, including the Washington State Department of Transportation and C-TRAN. One of the primary responsibilities of the committee is to implement the Clark County Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. In addition, the committee reviews and comments on projects relating to bicycle and pedestrian issues for all jurisdictions in Clark County.
Clark County has developed a Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan to make it safer and more convenient for people to get to major destinations on foot or by bicycle. The plan identifies ways to improve the transportation network by integrating existing sidewalks, bike lanes and trails. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan was approved by the Board of County Commissioners at the public hearing on November 23, 2010.
Metro's "Crossing the I-5 Bridge" video helps address concerns about crossing the bridge by bike.
The three primary components of the Plan document are the executive summary, the plan document, and the plan's appendices. The final documents can be reviewed on the Documents and maps page.
