Roadway Construction for Week of 3/15/2010

 NE 99th Street from SR 503 to NE 137th Avenue

NE 99th Street is closed to through traffic from NE 124th Avenue to NE 137th Avenue. The street will remain open for local business and residential traffic. Drivers are encouraged to avoid construction traffic by detouring south to Padden Parkway and NE 76th Street. Construction is scheduled to last through summer 2010.

 NE 134th Street Traffic Signal Optimization

Signal and loop work may require periodic lane closures and will likely result in some traffic delays. Contractors will be working within the following intersections: NE 29th Ave at NE 134th Street, NE 29th Ave at NE 134th Street and NE Salmon Creek and NE 134th Street.

 NE Hazel Dell Ave from NE 68th Street to NE 76th Street

There will be periodic lane closures on the west side of NE Hazel Dell Avenue from NE 68th Street to NE 76th Street for shoulder and sidewalk construction. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers and signage. Construction will last approximately two months.

SE 100th Avenue to SE 103rd Avenue, between SE 5th Street and Mill Plain Boulevard

Work continues on a Sewer Connection Incentive Program (SCIP) project, which includes installation of 4,300 feet of sewer main, 93 sewer laterals, and 200 feet of water main installation. Drivers should expect road closures to through traffic during construction hours, typically 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The project is expected to be completed the end of May.

Petticoat Lane, between NE 36th Avenue and St. John’s Road

Construction is nearly complete on a project to replace a water main line on Petticoat Lane from St. John’s to the barricade at 3508 Petticoat Lane. Minor paving work is anticipated this week, weather permitting.

NE 44th Street, between NE 122nd Ave and NE 130th Ave

Work has started on sidewalk and curb installation as part of a private development. There will be intermittent delays with only one lane open at times. Work is expected to be completed the end of March.

SE 148th Avenue, between Mill Plain Boulevard and SE 5th

Work has started on improvements that will include sidewalks, driveways and surface repaving as part of a private development. The street is anticipated to be closed through April 16, and detours will be in place.

PLEASE NOTE: Daytime traffic impacts typically take place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., and nighttime impacts between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Times may vary based on weather and other (construction-related) variables. Most activities are subject to good weather conditions. If it rains, work may be cancelled or rescheduled.

 I-5 – SR 501 Ridgefield Interchange

I-5 southbound will be closed for bridge construction on Monday, and I-5 northbound will be closed for bridge construction Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 pm to 4:00 am. Traffic will be detoured using the existing off- and on-ramps to move through the interchange and around the construction work zone. The SR 501 bridge will also be closed to thru traffic. Drivers will still be able to make right turns onto and off of the I-5 ramps. SR 501 traffic wanting to cross the bridge will need to detour on I-5 through the La Center interchange or Battle Ground Interchange.

Daytime intermittent flagging on westbound SR 501 for trucks entering and exiting the work zone between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

SR 14, East of I-5 and I-205, Advanced Traveler Information System Infill

Nighttime right lane closures on westbound SR 14 at SE Marine Park Way (milepost 2.40) and the I-205 interchange (milepost 7.72) for guardrail replacement work between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., Wednesday and Thursday.

Vancouver Rail – Rail Bypass and W. 39th Street Bridge
Daytime flagging at the intersection of W. 39th Street and Fruit Valley Road as crews perform utility installation and embankment work between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Note: The rail crossing at W. 39th Street is closed to all traffic for rail bypass construction.

I-5, Both directions between the Interstate Bridge and 39th Street

Daytime shoulder closures for survey work, Monday through Friday.

SR 14, Both directions between the I-5 Interchange and Columbia House Boulevard

Daytime shoulder closures for survey work, Monday through Friday.

SR 500, Both directions near Pioneer Elementary School Avenue

Daytime single lane closures for underground utility work, Monday through Friday.
