Cougar Creek Bridge Repairs

Repairs to Cougar Creek Bridge will result in single lane closures on NE Washougal River Road for approximately two weeks. Traffic will be restricted to one lane Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, with flaggers allowing traffic to alternate using the one open lane. Steel plates will be placed over the road deck so the bridge will be open to two-way traffic when workers and flaggers are not present. Motorists can expect up to 20-minute delays during construction hours.

Salmon Creek Interchange Project (SCIP) Park & Ride Grading

Grading work on the Salmon Creek Interchange Park and Ride project will begin mid August. Trucks entering and exiting the worksite at NE 10th Avenue between NE 136th and 139th streets may cause minor traffic interruptions, but no flagging operations are expected at this time. Project work is expected to continue through late October.

NE 159th Street Walkway from Hockinson High School to Hockinson Middle School

This project will construct a detached walkway along the south side of NE 159th Street from Hockinson High School to Hockinson Middle School, a pedestrian bridge over Mud Creek and a signalized pedestrian crossing of NE 159th Street at the Hockinson fire station. Some delays may occur during construction with some periodic lane restrictions. Construction is expected to last until the end of September.

Kate and Clarence LaLonde Neighborhood Park

Construction is underway on Kate & Clarence LaLonde Neighborhood Park on NE 99th Street just west of NE 50th Avenue. Traffic along NE 99th Street may be affected periodically do to construction equipment entering and exiting the Park site. Traffic control will be used as needed at the site.

NE 99th Street from SR 503 to NE 137th Avenue

NE 99th Street is now open to traffic from NE 124th Avenue to NE 137th Avenue. Minor work activity may result in periodic lane closures as the project completes. Construction is scheduled to last through summer 2010.

NW 21st Avenue and 109th StreetEmerald Park Estates

Paving of a private development located at NW 21st Avenue and 109th Street will require periodic single lane closures in the area. Intermittent closures will be take place until final paving takes place.

SE Mill Plain Boulevard and SE Chkalov Drive intersection

Maintenance paving and striping of the intersection of SE Mill Plain Boulevard and SE Chkalov Drive is planned for midnight to approximately 9 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 28, weather permitting. Eastbound traffic on Mill Plain east of I-205 to about NE 117th Ave. will be restricted to one through lane and one right-turn lane onto Chkalov. Westbound traffic on Mill Plain will be diverted onto NE 116th Ave. Drivers should expect significant detours, delays and traffic changes while the work takes place. Electronic message boards and detour signs will be posted in advance. Drivers are urged to take another route if at all possible. In the event of rain, the work will be rescheduled. 

SE 105th Avenue, from SE 10th Street to St. Helens, and SE 104th Avenue, from SE 10th Street north to end of the cul-de-sac south of Mill Plain Blvd

Work is underway on the Ellsworth Terrace Sewer Connection Incentive Program (SCIP) project, which consists of 2,800 feet of new sanitary sewer piping as well as storm drainage improvements. Portions of SE 105th Avenue and SE 104th Avenue will be closed to through traffic during construction. The project is anticipated to be competed by the end of August.

St. Johns Boulevard, from ‘R’ Street to ‘V’ Street

Construction continues on a St. Johns Boulevard pedestrian safety improvement project between ‘R’ Street and ‘V Street. Improvements include new ADA compliant curb ramps, sidewalks, curbs, a raised crosswalk and minor drainage improvements. Those traveling in the construction area are asked to be prepared for sidewalk and lane closures, lane shifts, flaggers and possible delays. Project completion is anticipated for mid-September 2010, weather permitting.

PLEASE NOTE: Daytime traffic impacts typically take place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., and night time impacts between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Times may vary based on weather and other (construction-related) variables. Most activities are subject to good weather conditions. If it rains, work may be cancelled or rescheduled.

I-5, SR 501 Ridgefield Interchange

Construction vehicles entering and exiting the work zone on interchange ramps, SR 501 and 65th Avenue, Monday through Friday.

Nighttime single and double lane closures on northbound I-5 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday.

Daytime flagging on interchange ramps, Thursday.

I-205, Glenn Jackson Bridge Joint Repair – ODOT

Double lane closure on southbound I-205. Closures will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and end at 5 a.m. Monday. Expect traffic congestion and delays.

Full CLOSURE of the ramp from SR 14 to southbound I-205. Motorists will be detoured on I-205 north to Mill Plain Road and back to I-205 southbound.

Night time single and double lane closures on southbound I-205, Monday through Friday.

SR 14, I-5 to SR 164th Interchange – Paving

Night time single lane closures and intermittent ramp closures on westbound SR 14 from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Monday through Friday.

SR 503, Lewisville Park – Climbing Lanes

Daytime traffic reduced to single lane, alternating directions with flaggers from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work will conclude by 12 noon on Friday.

Vancouver Rail – Rail Bypass and W. 39th Street Bridge

Daytime flagging at the intersection of W. 39th Street and Fruit Valley Road from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Note: The rail crossing at W. 39th Street is closed to all traffic.

I-5, Both directions between the Interstate Bridge and NE 39th Street

Daytime shoulder closures for survey work and geotechnical work, Monday through Friday.

SR 14, Both directions between NW 6th Avenue and 15th Street

Clark County PUD will be performing daytime single lane and shoulder closures for overhead utility work, Monday through Friday.

SR 500, Both directions between NE 162nd Avenue and NE 182nd Avenue

Qwest will be performing daytime single lane and shoulder closures for underground utility work, Monday through Friday.
