Surveyor's Office

The Clark County Surveyor's Office has two core functions:

  • reviewing, indexing, recording, and storage of all Surveys, Subdivisions, Short Plats, Records performed in Clark County as well as the indexing and storage of all County Engineer's Road Records. All permanent records are filmed and digitally scanned. Digital images are available online. Requirements include indexing and storing records that include: all subdivisions, short plats, county road project plans, both past and present, that are done in the county. The historical Road Establishment Books are also available for viewing. Recording activities are mandated by the State Legislature as a function of the County Auditor
  • . Several staff members are Deputy Auditors specifically for recording Records of Survey and Land Corner Records.

  • providing survey services to other Clark County departments. The second function is largely internal to the County which consists of Surveying services for most road improvement projects that are done "in house". There are 3-4 survey field crews and a support staff of 5. Typical services include right-of-way surveys, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and legal descriptions.
