This department provides centralized support that consists of clerical support, dispatching, accounts payable, inventory, budget and finance, contract administration, customer service and training to the following six programs:
Road Operations
Provides for the maintenance of the county's right-of-way and drainage systems. This includes shoulder maintenance, roadway maintenance, drainage maintenance, bridge maintenance, traffic control, snow and ice control, street cleaning, vegetation maintenance and litter control.
Parks & Campus Maintenance
Maintains the county's parks, open spaces, and the grounds surrounding the downtown county buildings. Activities include mowing, turf maintenance, planting, chemical applications, and irrigation.
Safety Program
The Safety Program coordinates all safety training for Operations division employees.
Road Enforcement Deputies
Provides services that ensure public safety and helps maintain road pavement standards. These include commercial vehicle enforcement, traffic control, speed enforcement, and other related activities.
Equipment Services
Management and maintenance of the county's fleet of vehicles and equipment. Manages six inventory stores, including equipment parts, road crew supplies, fuel, road rock, road oil, and traffic control devices.
Wastewater Treatment Plant
Charged with the operation and maintenance of the county's Salmon Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, pump station, and regional interceptor lines.
