Public MeetingStormwater Ordinance and Stormwater Management Plan Update
Stormwater Permit Update Flyer - October 2007 The Clark County Clean Water Commission invites the public to a discussion of the status of the county's Stormwater Management Program plan update and related ordinance revisions. The meeting will begin with brief presentations about what Clark County is doing to comply with a new stormwater management permit requirements issued in February 2007 by the state Department of Ecology. The presentations will be followed by an extended question and answer session. The county must submit draft, revised stormwater management ordinances for Ecology review by February 16, 2008 and a draft management program plan by the end of March 2008. The ordinance revision process is underway using both a Technical Advisory Committee of stormwater management experts, and a Stakeholders Advisory Committee representing interested parties such as developers, environmental organizations and the agricultural community. Stakeholder Advisory Committee meetings are open to the public. The next meeting is November 13 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the county Public Service Center, 6th Floor Training Room, 1300 Franklin Street. The advisory committee will meet two more times December 4 and December 18 to complete recommendations on ordinance revisions.
