Frequently Asked Questions about the Clean Water Fee (PDF - 263K) Check on your Clean Water fee via the online Clark County Property Information Center. All you need is your address or parcel number. Clark County initiated the Clean Water Program in response to federal and state mandates requiring local agencies to better control and clean stormwater runoff. Meeting these requirements and cleaning up our stormwater costs money. To fund this program, a citizen's task force spent months reviewing a variety of funding alternatives for both effectiveness and equity. After a series of meetings seeking input from the public, a rate structure was created and established by county ordinance. The Clean Water fee is paid annually by property owners in Clark County and is billed on the Clark County Property Tax statement mailed by the Treasurer's office in February and due April 30. If more than $50 is owed, a second statement is mailed in September, payable by October 31 for the second half due.
