About Watershed of Words
Each year, Clark County students are invited to take part in a creative writing and art contest for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Winning students' writing and art submissions are published in a soft-bound booklet used to raise awareness in the community about the importance of protecting our water resources.

2011 Watershed of Words
Congratulations to all our 2011 published authors and artists and a big "Thank you!" to all students who submitted entries in the 2011 year contest! You all play an important role in helping our community understand the importance of clean water and how everyone can make a difference in protecting our streams.

The 2011 edition of Waterhshed of words was our biggest issue yet. We selected 126 authors for publication out of 753 participants and 53 artists from 412 entries. Sixty-two classrooms from 25 Clark County schools were represented. Judging was very tough as space was limited and all entries were so great.
