Enforcement & Regulation

Clark County's Community Development and Public Works Departments enforce development regulations to minimize water pollution from sediment running off construction sites. The county also ensures that development projects have properly designed stormwater facilites.

Code Enforcement responds to complaints of activities that may result in pollution entering surface water or groundwater. Code Enforcement staff provide citizens education and technical assistance to comply with local codes.

A summary of Community Development stormwater activities can be found in the 2005 Clean Water Program Annual Report (PDF - 307K) to Ecology.
